Saturday night in the den

Weekends BC ( BEFORE CHILDREN!) for me use to be, a quick nip around the shops on a Saturday to buy an outfit for that night... a bit of a soak in the bath, my whole beauty regime.. then a few drinks to get me relaxed ..jump in a taxi with friends and out we'd go were we would dance till dawn,

how times have changed... this weekend we made a huge den in the living room..watched movies all afternoon with the kids..

and once they were in bed.. me and the hubby stayed in it with wine and snacks and watched Wayne's world!!!

please note that vintage and floral fabrics were used though .. mummy has to keep some order !!

  2. Whoop whoop you know I love a den.... I just used the craft spray paint that you can get in wilkinsons and some crazy strong glue from there too... Make sure you post any stands you make- it's such a genius yet simple idea, a lovely cheap gift as wel! X

  3. at least you stayed true to your vintage self! Love the den, I often have to make tents in the living room for gorgeous girl. Truth to be told, I enjoy just as much as she does!

  4. That looks so much fun and I like that you stayed in it after your children went to bed I bet they wanted to sleep in it . I used to love making dens .my children are a bit old for that now, my daughter (11) spent Saturday night putting soot all over her face and back combing her hair into a frenzy she looked like she had actually been up the chimney

  6. Thats why I'd make a rubbish parent, I'm far too selfish to give up my Saturday nights out.
Wine, nibbles and TV sound fab on a cold January night, though and I'm loving your beautiful vintage textiles. xxxx

  9. Sounds like a lovely night in! Even without children I still love Saturday nights curled up on the sofa, but maybe I'm just old heh. Can't imagine you with red hair - I just picture you exactly as you look in your profile pic! x

  10. So know what it's like with the dens! Have 3 little ones and they would hide all day in dens if they could!
